D & K Harvesting Inc is getting things ready for the upcoming spring season, and we’re looking to bring on 152 seasonal nursery workers to join our team in Oberlin, Ohio.

If you have a bit of greenhouse experience, enjoy physical work outdoors, and want steady work for six months, we’d love to have you on board!

What you'll be doing

• Plant Care: Planting, watering, and tending to flowers, perennials, vegetable plants, and hanging baskets.
• Prep & Digging: Getting plants and trees ready to ship—wrapping roots in burlap, tying plants, drum/quarter lacing, and securing wire baskets.
• Loading & Moving: Moving plants through the greenhouse, assembling customer orders, loading carts/trucks, and hanging baskets using ladders.
• Farm Maintenance: Setting up irrigation lines, clearing debris, doing light greenhouse repairs, and keeping work areas clean.
• Quality & Safety: Following food safety standards. (A few workers will also help supervise seasonal help during harvest to make sure plants are picked correctly and safely).

What we're looking for

• Experience: At least 2 months of hands-on experience working in a nursery or greenhouse.
• Physical Fitness: Comfort working outdoors in all types of weather, standing/bending for long stretches, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Screening: Post-hire drug tests and background checks may be conducted (at the employer's expense).
