Job Position: Welder Fitter Job in Canada – LMIA Pending for Foreign Workers
Vacancy: 4 vacancies
Company: The Bucket Shop\Steeltec
Salary: $36.00 hourly / 40 hours per week
Location: Timmins, ON, Canada
We need skilled welders who can fabricate, fit, and repair heavy industrial equipment. You'll work in our shop, out at mine sites, and at various industrial locations doing custom metalwork. It's real trade work – hot, loud, and physically demanding – but it pays well and comes with excellent benefits for people who know what they're doing with a welding torch.
What Your Day Looks Like
You'll spend your shifts reading blueprints, setting up your equipment, and laying down quality welds using stick, TIG, and flux core. You'll cut and shape metal with torches and shears, fit pieces together, inspect your own work to make sure it's up to spec, and operate hoisting equipment when needed. Some days you're in the shop, other days you're traveling to mine sites or industrial facilities. The work is repetitive but requires precision – every weld matters.
Who Should Apply
- You've got at least 5 years of welding experience under your belt
- High school diploma (or you've been welding long enough that it doesn't matter)
- You're comfortable with SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding techniques
- Can read blueprints and technical drawings without hand-holding
- Don't mind working in heat, dust, noise, tight spaces, and outdoors
- Speak English well enough to communicate with the crew and clients
- Willing to relocate to Timmins on your own dime
- Ready to travel to different job sites, including remote mining operations
- Physically capable of standing all day and lifting 50 lbs regularly
