What the Job is Actually Like

This is a "lead by example" kind of kitchen. Whether you’re coming in as a Chef or a Cook, you’ll be hands-on every single day.

If you’re joining as a Chef/Sous Chef

You’ll be the engine of the kitchen. You’ll coordinate the team, oversee daily operations, and make sure every plate that leaves the pass is perfect. You’ll work closely with management on food costs and menu development, keeping our offerings fresh and exciting. Most importantly, you’ll mentor the junior staff and keep the vibe positive, even when the printer is screaming during a busy Friday night.

If you’re joining as a Cook

You’re the backbone of the line. You’ll be prepping high-quality ingredients, following our signature recipes to the letter, and ensuring your station is spotless and organized. You’ll help your teammates out when things get heavy and make sure our food safety and presentation standards never slip.

Who We’re Looking For

• The Skills: You should have a deep knowledge of Asian cooking techniques and a Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery (or a Diploma in Hospitality).
• The Mindset: You stay calm under pressure. You take real pride in your work and won't let a sub-par dish reach a customer.
• The Logistics: You’re comfortable standing for long shifts, you know your way around a stocktake, and you’re a great communicator.
