If you're a chef looking to spend this winter cooking in the mountains, Sugar Bowl Resort in California is looking for 20 seasonal line chefs to join our kitchen team for the upcoming season (Nov 19, 2026 – Apr 18, 2027)!

Sugar Bowl is an independent ski resort sitting right on top of Donner Summit in Northern California. It’s a super close-knit mountain community with awesome terrain, great history, and a really solid culinary culture.

Plus, for our H-2B team members: we fully reimburse your visa fees, cover your travel costs, and offer optional employee housing right on the mountain.

What the Job Looks Like

• On the Line: Cook, season, and plate a full range of menu items—from scratch-made sauces and soups to steaks, seafood, and house specialties. You’ll be sautéing, grilling, broiling, braising, and baking throughout full service.
• Station Ownership: Keep your station prep organized, maintain top-tier sanitation standards, and help out with inventory/ordering when needed.
• Kitchen Culture: Lead by example, keep up energy during busy dinner rushes, and help mentor junior prep and line cooks.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 6 months of line cooking experience in a high-volume or fine-dining setting (resorts, clubs, or busy restaurants).
• Solid knife skills, good recipe execution, and a real eye for clean plating.
• Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced kitchen and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to get up and down the mountain for your shifts.
