At BJAB, we pride ourselves on being a professional yet nurturing team. We follow the National Curriculum of England and the Cambridge Curriculum, but what truly defines us is our commitment to our pupils. We aren't just looking for someone to deliver lessons; we’re looking for a teacher who can inspire children from all sorts of backgrounds and help them feel challenged and supported every single day.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced French Teacher to join our Primary section.
- The Schedule: This is a part-time role (50% timetable), but we are looking for a dedicated professional who wants to be a long-term part of our school community.
- The Mission: You’ll be working with a variety of young learners, helping them navigate the French language with creativity and flexibility.
- The Timeline: We’ll welcome you for a staff induction on August 21, 2026, with the full term kicking off on August 31st.
Who You Are
Because we maintain high British Overseas Standards, we have a few "must-haves" for this role:
- Qualified & Experienced: You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have at least 3 years of experience teaching in a British or British International school.
- Curriculum Expert: You know the UK National Curriculum like the back of your hand.
- Communication: Your English is at a mastery level (written and spoken).
- Integrity: You have a high level of professional rigour and a deep commitment to pastoral care and child safeguarding.
What’s In It for You?
We know that moving to Belgium is a big step, so we’ve put together a package to make you feel right at home:
- Visa & Moving: We provide Work Visa Sponsorship and cover all the associated fees.
- Life in Belgium: You’ll receive a competitive salary, a pension plan, and full hospitalisation insurance for you and your family.
- The Perks: We offer daily lunch vouchers, "Eco-vouchers" for sustainable shopping, and help with transport—including a bike leasing plan if you fancy cycling through Brussels!
- Growth: We love to see our teachers succeed and offer plenty of opportunities for professional development and extra responsibilities.
