We're a well-established Australian manufacturer that's been building heavy-duty road transport trailers for over 75 years. Based in Wendouree, Ballarat, we design and build trailers for freight, bulk, and refrigerated transport. We've also got a national support network to back up our products across the country.

We're after an Aluminum Welder to join our production team. This is hands-on welding work, mainly focused on aluminium components for trailers. You'll be working in a small team doing clean, quality welds - the kind that don't need touch-ups or grinding afterwards.

The hours are consistent, there's training available if you need it, and there's plenty of overtime on offer if you want extra work.

What You'll Be Doing

• Welding aluminium trailer parts (mostly MIG welding) - things like tipper tubs and other fabricated components
• Producing high-quality welds that look good straight off - no grinding or finishing required, so your welding needs to be spot on
• Working with aluminium up to 10mm thick
• Reading technical drawings and welding symbols to know exactly what's required
• Operating welding equipment safely and following our WHS procedures
• Working as part of a small team (about 3 people in your immediate group, part of a wider team of around 15)
• Doing basic equipment checks and letting someone know if anything needs maintenance
• Keeping your work area clean and organized

What We're Looking For

• Experience as an aluminium welder, ideally in production or fabrication
• Strong MIG welding skills on aluminium up to 10mm
• The ability to produce clean, tidy welds that don't need rework - your weld quality really matters here
• Know how to read technical drawings and specifications
• Good attention to detail and a focus on getting things right
• Able to work well in a team and also get on with things independently
• Physically capable of handling welding and fabrication work
• Take safety seriously and follow proper procedures
• Reliable and flexible enough to meet production deadlines

• Around $70K per year (there's some room to negotiate based on experience)
