Nordstrom Regional Marketing Specialist Seattle, WA

Direct regional marketing strategies that acquire new and retain existing customers while driving sales volume and building brand value


Partner with the regional marketing manager to the field, review and make recommendations on all regional marketing partnerships and sponsorship opportunities


Collaborate cross-functionally with other business groups including but not limited to: marketing strategy, creative, merchant teams, PR, Regional Managers, store teams in an effort to direct marketing efforts from concept through execution phases


Maintain an ROI tracking system that reports regional marketing results and spend; analyze results and make marketing recommendations for future initiatives


Direct vendor partners to conceptualize and execute joint marketing initiatives


Manage and negotiate contracts with various external groups to support innovative experiences (non-profit organizations, caterers, production, entertainment, etc.)


Manage brand standards with regional internal partners and external vendors to ensure that all efforts comply legally and meet safety regulations


Continually evaluate and develop event concepts and experiences that engage new and existing customers, emotionally connect, and differentiate the brand as well as position Nordstrom as a fashion destination


Continually seek proactive knowledge of the target customer, retail, marketing, and media trends


Lead key divisional marketing initiatives and event tactics through the entire project cycle, ensuring multi-channel filters are applied


Lead and develop tools and processes to streamline marketing and event planning


Work autonomously to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously


Manage project budgets to ensure all event budgets are met


Lead strategies for store openings overseeing and managing marketing efforts and budgets with cross-functional partners (media, pr, social, visual, external partners, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience is preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in marketing, event planning or related field is preferred

  • Passion and understanding of retail and fashion

  • Understanding of cross-channel marketing tactics

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented, accurate, professional, and accountable

  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask

  • Prior Nordstrom experience or ability to understand and embrace Nordstrom culture and brand
