Are you a Registered Midwife with at least 3 years under your belt? We've got an opportunity for you at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital. We're looking for midwives to join our team across the labour ward, postnatal unit, and special care nursery.
We believe in letting midwives work to their full scope—you'll be providing high-quality care across everything from straightforward births to more complex cases. It's rewarding work, and you'll be doing it alongside a team that genuinely cares.
Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate, and we can offer visa sponsorship if needed.
About the Role
When you join us, you'll be part of a team that's all about advancing health outcomes for women and families. We're collaborative, we love learning, and we're serious about giving exceptional care.
Here's what makes working here great:
- Ongoing training and support – We have an experienced midwifery educator right in the unit
- Diverse casework – From low-risk to complex obstetrics, including vaginal twins, breech births, high BMI patients, and complex care needs
- Great facilities – Four labour rooms, 13 postnatal rooms, and a Level 5 Special Care nursery for up to six babies
- 24-hour ICU support – Intensivist backup from 32 weeks gestation
- Part-time and full-time roles available – We'll work with your schedule
We're passionate about what we do, and if you are too, we'd love to hear from you.
What We're Looking For
- At least 12 months' experience as a Registered Midwife (but ideally 3+ years)
- Current AHPRA registration
- Recent clinical experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- Able to work independently and stay organized, even when things get hectic
- A team player who works well with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and people skills
- Someone who genuinely wants to care for others and be part of something meaningful
How to Apply
If you're ready to be part of a team that delivers care from the heart, we'd love to have you. "Apply today".
